New Jeans!! Smaller Size!!!

OMG!!! I just successfully put on a pair of size 16T Coldwater Creek Jeans!! And now I am sitting down in them and telling you about it!! My problem areas have always been hips and thighs as I was growing up. And since my hysterectomy, I have developed the lower stomach menopausal pooch/pouch that I absolutely hate.  Now ALL of those areas are shrinking!!
 
When I started this venture I was about to have to order size 22 jeans. My 20's were getting too tight. I have lost 31 pounds and need to lose 80 more. BUT .... I am now in a size of jeans that I would normally only be able to wear when I was 30 pounds lighter than I am now!?!? What the heck does Plexus do that is so different from other weightloss products????   

My scale really hasn't really budged in a few months .... so I haven't been blogging a whole lot about Plexus .... which is really a SAD confession on my part.   I have not lost more than the 31 original pounds .... BUT Plexus continues to work in me and ON me.  Here is an example of what I am talking about.  This is a pic showing ZERO weight loss:

 

 

Here are a couple of amazing things about this: 

 

#1 .... I have gone 9 months without GAINING WEIGHT!   I am NOT on a diet!

#2 .... I was just able to get into a size smaller pair of jeans from what I was wearing at the end of last winter!   Same brand/Same style of jeans.

 

I know I need to lose more weight.  I have been frustrated that I haven't been losing more weight.  BUT ... Complaints About Plexus ....

Yes .... there are a couple of things I have to complain about .... but FIRST .... the GOOD NEWS!

I had my blood-work done and here are the changes compared to one year ago:

My Doctor is very pleased and is no longer suggesting I take Statins or that I might be pre-diabetic.  He is also going to lower my Thyroid medication.  I have been taking Synthroid or Levothyroxine for 24 years and  have been on a consistent dosage for the past several years.   I know several people who have been able to get off their Thyroid meds since taking the Plexus products.   I was told by the Dr. 24 years ago that once I am on Thyroid meds, I will be on them for the rest of my life ... SO ... I am very pleased to be able to reduce my Thyroid meds and I look forward to what the future brings with that!

My Cholesterol numbers are still a little high .... Probably because I have started drinking BulletProof Coffee every morning.  Yes .... Grass-Fed Butter and Coconut Oil IN MY COFFEE .... It's amazing!!  But I do wonder what it is doing for my cholesterol!!  There is no break down of small LDL Vs Large LDL in this bloodwork.  Here is a very interesting article on the misconceptions pertaining to Cholesterol and our health over the past 50 years .... since Butter and Eggs and Cream were made into the BAD GUYS .... I have seen other articles talking about small LDL compared to large LDL and how large LDL is much preferred.   Next blood-test I'll try to get that breakdown, if possible!

In ONE YEAR on the Plexus Fab 5 I have lost 31 pounds, 35+ inches, I feel 20+ years younger, my blood-work has all improved, I am off Blood Pressure medications, I am off anti-depressants, and as of a couple of weeks ago I have started walking 2 miles a day outside again!!

August 2014 ..... One year!!

I started my Plexus Journey on Aug 18th.  Sadly I did NOT take good "before" pictures like everyone told me to do!!  I should have followed directions and taken front and side full length pictures as well as front and side face pictures .... wearing unflattering clothes .... with the hope that they would become flattering as I progressed!!  BUT .... to be honest .... I didn't think it would work!!  I really didn't think Plexus would work for me!!  So .... here are a couple of pictures from our big trip in July 2013 .... and the last one taken today after my walk ....

I don't know if YOU can see a difference ... but I sure can!!   I have lost 31 pounds and I feel fantastic!!    I feel younger and more alive and more in control of my health.  I am off Blood Pressure meds and off anti-depressants.    I am more active than I have been in a long time.   I feel great!!

I still have the shirts and shorts from the pictures above .... now I just need to go back to the redwood forest and to Puget Sound to retake these photos!!  Or maybe try our backyard as a background this coming weekend?? 

I have scheduled Blood-work to be done next week and will get the results the following week ... will keep you posted on that!!   I had hoped to be 36 pounds down in one year .... that would be 3 pounds a month ... but I think 31 is just fine .... and by a long shot better that where I would be today if I had not given Plexus a try!!

Here is my regimen:

I drink my Plexus Slim right after getting up ... I mix it in a glass of water, add ice, and sip while checking emails.  I take 2 Accelerator+ capsules with Breakfast shortly after that.

When I go upstairs to get dressed, I take 2 BioCleanse and 2 X-Factor vitamin capsules.  I also take my Fast Relief capsules at this time for pain issues which I want to keep at bay.

Over the past two weeks I have started walking 2 miles in the morning at a very slow pace .... 20 minutes per mile.  I hope to improve on both the distance and pace ... but I am a work in progress and I am very pleased with myself for getting back out there in the first place!!

Then at night before bed, I take 4 Probio5 and 2 Biocleanse and my Fast Relief products .... (I worked up to taking 4 ProBio5 over the course of several weeks and months .... do  NOT start right off with 4 ProBio5!!!)

I set out a weeks worth of capsules on Sunday in a Day/Night Weeklong Pill box I got at Walgreens so that I don't have to mess with it all during the week.   The pill box sits next to my toothbrush.    That way I never forget. 

I am NOT DIETING.   I do eat better because the Slim makes me want to eat better.  But I do NOT consider myself to be dieting .... I pretty much eat what I want!!  I just want different stuff now!

Update on BOOST and other things ....

BOOST was a great Plateau Buster for me .... which I thought I needed as my weight-loss had slowed down.  However, I have decided to go back to Accelerator+ as my companion product to Plexus Slim, and I am much happier with this combo.    BOOST is thermogenic and I have a history of having issues with Thermogenic  Diet products.  Usually they affect my head and make me feel very buzzy.  Boost didn't do that to me ... instead it gave me the shakes .... and I didn't like that feeling.  It took about a month for that to start happening.  But the single biggest reason I stopped BOOST and went back to Accel+ was my MOOD.  I felt my mood slipping to the dark side while on BOOST and I didn't want to go there, nor did I want to go back on my anti-depressants.  I was able to get free from decades use of Anti-Depressants while taking the Slim and Accel+ combo and I really liked the way I felt while using that combo .... so I am back with Accel+.  I believe it is the 5-HTP in the Accel+ which has helped my mood ... and BOOST does not have that ingredient.

Plexus Slim and Visceral Fat ....

The following is my opinion only.  I do not have any deep scientific research to back up what I believe is happening in my body ... just a feeling .... just a sense ... that Plexus Slim is helping me target and get rid of my Visceral Fat .... the REALLY BAD STUFF ....

Now .... the rolls of fat that drive me crazy on my torso, and the fat on my arms and legs, is called Adipose Fat .... it is different from Visceral Fat .... Adipose fat is unattractive, but not near as deadly as Visceral Fat.  I believe that Plexus Slim targets the Visceral Fat ... the really unhealthy fat.   And that is why I am sleeping better, FEELING better, and my blood work numbers improve with every Dr. visit.   I do not know how it works ... but it does.   I have lost so many inches around my waist and back and hip areas.

I think I Visceral fat has been with me a LONG time ... I don't believe that any of the diets I have been on in the past ever targeted this type of fat.  Plexus Slim is NOT a diet.  Plexus Slim is a sachet of crystals I mix with water every morning and drink before I have breakfast.  And something in those crystals is targeting my Visceral Fat.  I don't know how ... I don't know why .... but I am glad.  I think that fat has been very happy tucked up next to all my organs, and I think it is going to take some time to get rid of it all .... but I visualize little pink packman type creatures going after that visceral fat and it makes me happy!!    Then I drink lots of water a flush all that stuff away!! 

I still have a lot of Adipose Fat, also known as Subcutaneous Fat .... upper arms, torso, thighs ... but I have lost inches in all those areas, too.  Probably the best thing I could do for myself is to work out ... go to the gym ... lift weights ... do Yoga ... do Pilates ...  and those activities along with drinking my little Pink Drink every morning will help me lose ALL the types of fats on my body.   I have been going to the gym twice a week for years now ... I probably need to up my game ... SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING it!!   ;)

Consistency Pays Off

This is me in July 2013 on the left and June 2014 on the right.  Approximately 10 of those months I have been using Plexus products ... the most important of those products being Plexus Slim .... the Pink Drink.    I want to stress that I have NOT BEEN DIETING to make this dramatic change in my appearance!    I have, however, changed how I eat .... not by denying myself things I love .... but by listening to what my body says it wants .... and somehow the Pink Drink has changed the way I want to eat!!

I also want to stress that in those 10 months I have lost 28 pounds.  It has averaged about 3 pounds a month for me.  For a lot of people that isn't enough!!   I have seen people quit after trying Plexus Slim for  2 months and "only losing 10 pounds".  Not everyone is going to lose 30 pounds in the first month!!   Three pounds a month for me was just fine, especially because I was feeling so much better overall!  Eating better, sleeping better, more energy .... just overall better!    As I mentioned with one of my very first posts on FB after losing the first 3lbs in one month I stated that if I could simply continue at that rate, then I would be down 36lbs in a year!  I will happily take that!!  And 72 pounds in another year's time.  Okay!!  That is better than staying were I was .... or worse .... gaining!!

Nine Month and "New Product" Report ....

I started the "New Product" .... which as of yet remains un-named .... and is a companion product for Plexus Slim (not to be taken with the Accelerator+, but in place of Accel+) .... 2.5 weeks ago.   I immediately noticed I was sleeping better.   I had already been sleeping better on Plexus in general ... but this is even better!!!   And when I wake up in the morning I AM AWAKE!  BOOM!

My weight fluctuates ... a lot ... 3-5lbs up and down.  That is why I say I need to see a new low weight TWICE on the scale before I claim it.  When I started the "New Product" I weighed in and I was 5lbs up from my claimed low weight.   I am now AT my low weight and the scale is stuck at that weight at the moment.  This is a bit of frustration for me .... but better than seeing it go up 5, down three, up two, down 4, up 4, down 3 ..... etc.    This is the end of month #9 and I am still at 24 pounds lost.    I am very glad to be at 24#'s lost .... would just like for it to be MORE .... will continue trying the "New Product" because I have only been using it for 2.5 weeks.     So .... I can say that I HAVE lost 5lbs on the New Product .... and they are staying off ... although they ARE 5lbs I lost before. 

INCHES are the real story.  BEFORE I started Plexus in Aug. 2013 .... I had my measurements taken.  Then .... BEFORE I started the New Product, we did measurements again.  I had lost 30 inches while on Plexus Slim and Accelerator+ for 8 months.  We measured again yesterday and I have lost 1.4 inches MORE.  But I really think I have lost more inches than that in places we don't normally measure!!  We measure neck, shoulders, biceps, waist, hips (at widest part), thighs, and calves.  There's LOTS of territory that is NOT covered by these measurements.  I have noticed that the area between the widest part of my hips and my waist is shrinking ... especially right above my Butt .... I call it my "Butt Shelf" .... not sure what other people call it.  Well mine is disappearing. 

 

Yeah .... THAT PART!!   This isn't a pic of me .... but it is the pic I think of when I think of "butt shelf".  Some things you just cannot un-see once they are seen!!     Okay  ..... so .... mine is shrinking.    I also think the rolls of fat between my bust and waist are shrinking .... we don't measure that part either.  They are still there, when I sit down .... but they seem to be "less there".  

So .... the inches are coming off ... and I hear that from LOTS of people.  The inches come off but the scale doesn't move.  Well at some point, it HAS TO!!  And I am sure it will!!!

I had also quit one of my Blood Pressure meds approximately 4 weeks ago as it was making my legs hurt at night (and it raises blood sugars).   I have been monitoring my BP several times a day since then and it is staying in a very nice range.   I actually think the "New Product" is helping MY BP.     I don't think that is the case for everyone .... but at least one other Plexus friend has noticed the same thing. 

I did attempt to go off my diuretic a couple of weeks ago and that was a miserable failure.   I swelled up like a tick!!!  I had to get back on it ... and that also makes my joints hurt.  Looking for a better way .... planning to see DR. soon and ask about other possibilities.

My Plexus Journey Timeline .....

August 2013 ..... Bought Plexus Slim and Accelerator and used them for a month ... lost 3 pounds ... and I was ecstatic!

September 2013 .... Signed on as an Ambassador and continued to use Slim and Accelerator plus added ProBio5 and BioCleanse.  Lost 3 more pounds!

October 2013 .... Continued to use Slim and Accelerator ... and ProBio5 and BioCleanse .... Lost 3 more pounds .... Also stopped my Multi-Vitamin and added X-Factor.  Feeling really good!!

November 2013 ...Continued to use all the products of the Fab 5 ....and lost 4 pounds even with Thanksgiving and a trip to Florida.  Stayed regular during the whole trip ... unheard of in my adult life! 

ALSO in November 2013, Plexus changed the formulation of their Accelerator removing the Dark chocolate and one other compound which was causing issues with shipping to Canada and Australia ... and was also a main part of the Accelerator and why it worked so well for so many people. 

December 2013 .... Started the new Accelerator+ with the Slim .... didn't notice much difference with it .... if any at all.  Lost 3 more pounds .... so down a total 15 pounds by the end of 2013 and I was/am very happy with that!!!!   Also really started promoting Plexus and began signing Ambassadors.

January 2014 .... Most of the rest of my Journey so far has been chronicled in the rest of this Blog.  I was able to get off of my anti-depressant, Zoloft, which I had been taking for  well over a decade.  I was feeling a good 20 years younger.  Lost 3 more pounds! 

February 2014 ...  Due to Hoodia becoming a protected plant, Plexus removed it from their SLIM formulation.   This happened fairly quietly and didn't take effect until the March products of  SLIM shipped out.     I personally was very worried about this change.  I remembered seeing a "60 Minutes" section featuring Hoodia and all it's interesting properties .... the main one being an appetite suppressant.    I lost 3 more pounds ... at 21 lost now. 

March 2014 .... New Slim and Accelerator+  ..... things seem to be fine ... BUT  some customers who had started with me in December weren't seeing any results .... so I started losing customers.   I gained others.  Some were having GREAT success!!  I was still having success.  I lost 3 more pounds.

April 2014 ... The first month when I have not lost weight.  Made me kind of sad.  Then at the end of the month Plexus announced a NEW PRODUCT!!    A product which has some ingredients similar to the Hoodia removed from the SLIM and which seems to work maybe even better than the old Accelerator!!!    I am rather excited about this!!   Numerous Ambassadors were selected to test this product for 3 weeks before this announcement.  Here are some or their results:

The new product does NOT have a name yet ... and is to be used IN PLACE of the Accelerator+ .... which works for some ... but apparently not for all.   Many LONG TIME Plexus Ambassadors were VERY PLEASED with the results from this New Product.    Many like it even better than the old Accelerator ... and they LOVED the old Accelerator!   They claim to be sleeping better than ever, amazing energy, and amazing appetite control.  EVERYONE who tried it lost weight or inches or BOTH!

Now ALL Ambassadors have been allowed to order 3 bottles each to try it for themselves.   I have mine in my possession and have been taking it for 2 days now.    I'll keep you posted as to how I do.   It will be available to customers in about 2 months.   

So .... if you have been a customer of mine and liked the SLIM but didn't lose weight .... you might want to come back and try the New Product with the SLIM!!  If you were my customer, then you only had access to the Accelerator+ .... which DID work for several people ... but probably the same number of people didn't see any results.    My customers have had about a 50/50 success rate.     The old Slim and Accelerator had a 93% success rate.  I am hoping the Slim and the New Product combo will have an even higher success rate!!!
